Product Manager (3 month contract)

Salary:£30,000 - £35,000 (pro rata)
Location: Swindon
To manage and inform the development and maintenance of regulated products for the education practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Becoming the point of contact for other teams involved in the existing education product portfolio regarding the syllabus, regulated qualification space and funding guidance.
  • Taking tactical decisions to inform product development, requiring deep-dive into product detail, and gathering user/customer feedback to inform those decisions.
  • Liaising with SMEs and working with product development to ensure high quality delivery of content, which answers market needs.
  • Ensure operational processes are developed and implemented in line with regulatory requirements. Analyse and assess risks and issues in line with regulatory requirements. Assess and plan for mitigation and contingency for new products.

  • Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager/Divisional Director.

Skills, qualifications and knowledge

Education and qualifications
  • Level 5, or above, qualifications or equivalent - in any subject
Experience
  • Proven recent and relevant experience of working, with tests/exams in an Ofqual regulated area
  • Significant experience in the digital publishing / content management industry
  • Proven project management experience
  • Use of Agile methodology and creation of assessments desirable
  • Instructional design experience is desirable

  • Able to assimilate and synthesise complex information into smart solutions, within a tight schedule
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels internally and externally

Special conditions

  • Occasional visits to clients or suppliers, off site meetings and events in the UK or globally as required. These may require overnight stays.
  • Some travel to other BCS offices as required.
