Market Risk Control & Operational Risk Analyst

A Global European Investment Bank are looking for a Market Risk Control & Operational Risk Analyst. They require Control experience and a strong understanding of market risk frameworks in order to define a series of controls / undertake analysis on existing frameworks. 

POSITION SCOPE/ RESPONSIBILITIES :

* Make a direct contribution to the Market Risk Functions operational permanent control framework
* Implementation and support of Operational Risk and Permanent Control activities.
* Support internal relationships.

Implementation and support of Permanent Control and Operational Risk activities

* Management and analysis of actual incidents to identify weaknesses in processes and remedial actions.
* Identify potential Incidents and produce scenario analysis
* Review, identification and analysis of operational risks through analysis of existing and proposed processes.
* Review and improve controls, control evidence and test controls on operational risks identified above.
* Agreement, implementation, support and follow up of mitigating actions relating to risks and controls identified.
* Collection, collation, analysis and reporting of statistical data and key risk indicators to identify risk trends.
* Preparation and coordination of management information reporting including regular Risk Function permanent control reports, Risk dashboards and local territory requirements.
* Develop and enhance specific policies that maybe required to support the Permanent Control and Operational Risk framework

Support Internal Relationships

* Develop, support and maintain relationships with the Market Risk Managers, function Head's and other key departments within the Group e.g. Risk Function, Compliance, Internal Audit, CIB 2OPC teams.

Professional Qualifications / Candidate Profile

* Relevant business/accounting degree, accounting qualification or equivalent.
* Experience of operational risk/ audit or production management.
* Experience from working in investment banking within front middle, back office and support functions ideally in a Market Risk department.
* Experience and knowledge gained from market risk
* Ideally Audit background
