Description

The Corporate Accounting Manager based in London will have the following responsibilities:

* Responsible for producing statutory financial statements under International Accounting Standards (IFRS's')

* Maintain financial accounting systems including a responsibility for ensuring that key reconciliations and controls are carried out. Ensure that systems and procedures are documented

* A general understanding of Corporation Tax and VAT

* Enhance the Treasury management process

* Support the Accounts Payable function

* Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements

* Ensuring all financial data is communicated to the group's finance department in line with group deadline and dealing with parent company queries

* Review and approval of all external documents such as regulatory reports, VAT returns and Sales reports

Profile

The Corporate Accounting Manager based in London will have the following exposure:

* Strong management skills to motivate and co-operate with colleagues to promote strong successful team performance.

* Understanding industry products and practices and understand fixed income products, guidelines, procedures and processes.

* Strong people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels.

* Demonstrable years of accounting experience, and preferably ACA qualified.

* A detailed understanding of accounting standards and a proven track record of solving detailed accounting issues.

* Analytical background evidenced by a good scientific, business or economics degree.

* Experience of fixed income credit products, gained in an investment banking, hedge fund, asset management or audit environment preferred, theoretical understanding required.

* Strong interpersonal skills.
