We have a great opportunity for a General Accounting Manager, to join our world-class team in Marktheidenfeld. You will be responsible for all general accounting which includes GL, AR, AP, fixed asset managing a team of 2 and liaising with senior stakeholders across the global business and shared service. 

Key responsibilities

• Manages a team engaged in collecting, recording, analyzing, and reporting accounting transactions
  
• Plans, reviews, and/or prepares internal and external reports, schedules, and statements
  
• Oversees the account reconciliation process
  
• Reviews and monitors financial controls
  
• Participates in, and responds to internal audits
  
• Provides and interprets data from accounting records as required by management
  
• Coordinates accounting services and integrates with operating needs
  
• Oversees the management of functions such as property records, general ledger, and general accounting services
  
• Coaches and mentors general accounting staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports
  
• Main liaison for audits at CMHF (external statutory, internal controls, SOx, etc.)
  
• Helps support fixed asset accounting at CMHF
  
• Drives improvements for better accounting, controls, reporting and other processes
  
  Education, Certifications, Experience
  
  Essential Requirement:
  

• “Bilanzbuchhalter (company accountant)” or “Internationaler Bilanzbuchhalter (international company accountant)” qualification preferred
  
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment
  

• Broad understanding of business needs with excellent analytical and communication skills
  
• Strong leader and team player
  
• German GAAP
  
• Language skills – Business fluent German (C1) and English
  
• People management experience
  

Preferred Requirement:

• College, university, or equivalent degree
  
• Knowledge of US GAAP
  
• Knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
