MS Dynamics NAV, Test Lead

This is a Greenfield role for a Test Lead to be responsible for defining the project testing strategy for the business with Accounts Payable plus delivering, managing, specifying, planning testing activities for SAP Replacement Project. You will need to work closely with the users in Accounting to agree testing strategy, support them in creating the test scripts and manage the overall defect tracking and resolution process with internal development teams. You will also manage a team of user testers, SME’s and work with both the business and internal development teams to ensure that all software deliverables follow the agreed testing process and meet the required quality Accounting Compliance standards. 


Main Responsibilities:

Define the IT testing strategy for the project. 
Advise both internal development teams and business users on IT testing process and strategy to ensure consistent application of the process within the project.
Develop and user standard templates and documents for testing
Train business users in preparation of test cases / user stories (test conditions and test scripts) 
Support and guide the user test team to document requirements / user stories and test scenarios.
Identify issues & risks relating to the project and provide suggested mitigating actions & appropriately escalate to project manager and key stakeholders
Use test tools such as JIRA and follow industry standard best practice to track tasks and defects
Take ownership of system test activities and manage integration testing and UAT
Defect Management and Reporting – Communicating defect issues to project team and Project Manager.

Ideal Profile:

2-3 years extensive experience of testing Core MS Dynamic NAV.
Extensive experience of testing on SQL Server to mine data and investigate issues.
Experience of carrying out all elements of testing as required including: Smoke Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing.
Educated to degree level standard: BCS Foundation in Software Testing and ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL).

Knowledge of P2P and OCR integration and functionality would be an advantage.
