The Role

• Proactive financial management of a multi-million pound turnover business
• Project funding and financial control, including significant capex projects
• Business planning including the financial analysis of ad hoc enterprise initiatives
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems and internal control processes
• Ownership and improvement of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Effective hands on management of an accounts dept. of 5 staff

The Person

• A forward thinking proactive qualified accountant who is strategic but hasn't lost sight of the importance of accuracy and detail
• Above average commercial and financial acumen with demonstrable ability in developing, analysing, implementing and reviewing financial plans
• A collaborative team-player capable of establishing strong successful relationships
• Highly articulate with strong communication, presentation, organisational and spreadsheet skills
• Whilst a background in the education sector is not a prerequisite, candidates should be interested in the education and aspirations of young people and support the ethos and values of an institution such as Worksop College
