Head of Accounting and Administration

This Selby based £9 million T/O energy related business is currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance and Administration. Reporting directly to the MD with a dotted line to a Group FD in Germany the role will be responsible for accounting, controlling, finance, risk management and internal processes. 

Key tasks: 

- Responsible for quarterly reports and reviews 
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate information flows between relevant parties 
- Assistance and involvement in preparation of budgets and forecasts and presenting such to head office in Germany 
- Undertaking the presentation of investment proposals to head office 
- Undertake the presentation of salary proposal to head office and subsequent implementation 
- Preparing budgets and forecasts 
- Preparing annual financial statements 
- Liaison with auditors and tax advisors 
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly corporate consolidation process 
- Responsible for month end management accounts 
- Communication with the Shareholder in respect of all finance, controlling and accounting matters 

You will be able to demonstrate: 

- Qualified accountant 
- Experience and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft packages, preferably SAP or similar accounting software 
- Experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flows and forecasts
