Group Finance Manager

A global IT service business is looking for a talented Group Finance Manager to ensure that finance procedures are implemented, embedded and communicated in a time of great change. The organisation has seen multiple acquisitions and the onus will be on you to manage the accounting challenges that come with that growth.


This role is for you, not only if you are a technically strong finance professional, but if you have an in-depth awareness of how strong finance practices affect commercial variables. This will demand great communication skills as it will involve partnering with stakeholders across the business in order to inform top level, strategic decision making.

Responsibilities include:

* Addressing and adivisng on a variety of finance issues that affect the Group's reporting of performance and strategic direction;
* Working with Corporate and Commercial Finance and senior stakeholders to ensure impact of new standards are assessed, implementation plans produced, impacts on Group Accounting Policies and business performance reporting are communicated and understood;
* Working with Commercial Finance to ensure appropriate technical accounting treatments are being included in major project bidding activity;
* Driving decisions behind accounting treatment ensuring compliant with IFRS (eg Revenue Recognition, Pensions, Leases);

Essential / Minimum Criteria

* ACA qualified or international equivalent from a top ten practice background
* Must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in technical accounting issues and how these effect commercial transactions
* Proficient with IFRS and UK GAAP and financial statement preparation
* Ability to manage demands appropriately
* Mature approach to building sound business relationships
* Proven experience as an equal sparring partner in client interaction
