Audit & Account Senior

Audit Senior 

- All aspects of audit, statutory reporting and completion, including general accounting compliance work. 
- Managing a portfolio of clients including travel to client premises to carry out audit related tasks. 
- Being proactive in the market place and securing new business for the practice. 

Accounts Senior 

he role will include: 

- Planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion work, along with general accounting compliance work 
- Leading smaller / medium audit engagements, which include planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits within the allocated time 
- Preparation of annual financial statements from incomplete records and various accounting software packages 
- Preparation of periodic management accounts using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50 
- Ad hoc book-keeping assistance using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50 
- Advising clients on accounting / general business matters 
- Demonstrating awareness of compliance legislation e.g. VAT, tax, PAYE 
- Preparation of VAT returns 

I am looking to speak with candidates who - 

-Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA qualified) 
- Have proven experience of working in an Audit & Accounts team in a practice environment 
- Be a motivated individual, able to work alone or as part of a team 
- Have experience of using Sage / Xero software 

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: 

- An ability to produce high level written reports 
- An analytical ability to solve problems and critically evaluate issues 
- Experience of working with both financial and non-finance people 
- Strong organization and planning skills and attention to detail 
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills 
- Experience of working in a dynamic, fast changing environment 
- Experience of working on cross-functional teams/projects 
- Experience of using automated accounting & audit software packages, particularly Sage, Xero and CCH products 
- Advanced excel and word skills 
- Care for clients and colleagues by anticipating and proactively developing solutions for the client with longer-term benefits
