Goods Inward Inspector

Job Summary

To receive and inspect all procured product in line with contractual conditions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions
• Read and understand assembly drawings with regard to dimensional tolerances and machined items
• Examine the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing painting and deterioration of surfaces, etc.
• Undertake 'first off' inspections
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with the delivered article
• Ensure that inspections times are met
• Control defect items via segregation from good product
• Raise and maintain relevant defect reports
• Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
• Contribute to the maintenance of an orderly and safe working environment

Key Skills/Experience

Essential

• Experience of working in a similar role
• Must be flexible, well organised and able to work unsupervised using own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to undergo security clearance if required

Desirable

• Experience of using Navision would be beneficial
• Full clean driving licence would be advantageous
