To support people with learning disabilities with all aspects of their daily lives, ensuring that
they have maximum opportunities and choice for developing new skills and leading fulfilling,
varied, are valued and live socially inclusive lifestyles where their rights, dignity and safety is
protected.
We believe that the best support workers are the ones with the right attitude and values to do the job - this means even if you don't have any experience of this kind of work if you are committed to doing your best for the people you support and never giving up on them, have passion, enthusiasm and drive you could be very successful in this role. It doesn't matter if you don't have any experience of this kind of work as we provide all the training and support you need. If you do have experience of supporting people, either in a work role or at home this role will give you the opportunity to use and develop your skills in an organisation committed to doing its best for the people we support. As a Support Worker, as in any other roles, you will have good days and not so good ones. What we can say is that most days you will go home knowing you have made a difference to the person you are supporting.
As well as valuing the people we support we value our staff. We want you to have all the skills you need to support people in the best way possible so we provide all the training you need to do this (We pay you to attend all of the training). We can support you to achieve recognised qualifications in Social Care. You will work closely with the rest of your team, supported by a Senior Support Worker and/or a Team Leader and a Support Manager
