This role, within the UK Regulatory Policy team focuses on regulatory policy and reporting primarily for the Asset Management (AM) subsidiaries with additional support for other group entities as required.
It is a fundamental part of the finance department and is instrumental to the smooth running of the business as a whole. The team provides both the rigorous control environment and the essential support required by our complex and dynamic global business.
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual who is able to work to work with a high degree of accuracy and responsibility. A confident and articulate person is essential as the job entails continual interaction with senior management and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate would be working as part of a team of 3 onshore with additional reporting lines to AM and IB management:
* Facilitate reporting for Group and regulatory purposes and manage relationships with various internal and external stakeholders;
* Produce accurate and timely support in relation to regulatory policy, with primary responsibility for the AM entities covering, amongst others CRR, BIPRU and solvency requirements as required for these entities
* In addition the candidate will provide support across the region for all entities, including IB entities and the UK, this wider remit will form a key part of the role
The individual will need to be flexible in their approach and willing to work across the region to support the wider team as required, including tasks outside of their normal day to day remit
TASKS:
* Review of new products and business changes within AM entities to ensure correct regulatory treatments
* Review of regulatory treatments for AM entities to aid accurate submissions to the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority
* Education of AM team to increase knowledge base relating to existing and planned changes in regulation
* Liaison with project teams to develop regulatory knowledge of such teams and ensure correct regulatory treatments for changes in systems/ business/ products as required
* Preparation of monthly summary of regulatory changes from all relevant regulatory change sources relating to AM entities
* Provide support to the AM team leads in relation to regulatory issues
* Act as SME to onshore and offshore team and ensure regulatory knowledge and skills are shared to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
* Provide ad-hoc regulatory policy support and information to senior management as required primarily across the AM entities
* Ensure the adherence to internal standards and maintenance of adequate evidence
* Cooperate with other parts of Finance, IT and other stakeholders to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the team
* Develop and maintain regulatory policies in relation to the AM entities to cover all aspects of regulatory interpretations
* Ensure regulatory policies are adhered to and new policies are implemented correctly as required
* Develop internal relationships to be seen as the SME for regulatory issues for the AM entities
* Developing effective working relationships with external parties, including auditors, Regulators, Directors
* Liaise with finance, tax, legal and external parties regarding regulatory requirements and input in to wider considerations that may affect the AM entities, e.g. through changes in accounting policy

* Qualfied ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
