Lead Accountant

Chase and Holland are partnering one of the fastest growing FMCG businesses in West Yorkshire recruit a Lead Accountant for their expanding Finance function. Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting, this is an ideal role for someone looking to expand their experience and who enjoys working across a complex organisation liaising with multiple stakeholders.

This position will take a lead role in the financial close process ensuring that the P and L is agreed and reconciles with the commercial reporting for the business. You will be a business partner for business units across the company and will work closely with all support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Management of the financial close process
* Ensure transactions are appropriately recorded in the correct accounting period
* Responsible for the production of monthly P and Ls
* Preparation of system balancing for the business
* Managing the profitisation process (closing of Purchase orders)
* Reporting of financial accounting information as requested
* Provision of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory information to parent company
* Management of fixed assets, verification and control
* Development of accounting SLA and KPI reporting
* Maintenance and control of general ledger master data
* Review and involvement of the production of budgets and forecasting

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to join an organisation with lots of scope for internal progression. It is essential that you are capable of understanding core business objectives and changing priorities. Experience with shared service functions would be an advantage. You will be a qualified accountant or close to qualifying preferably ACCA or ACA with a knowledge of controls and compliance.
