£36,269 - £42,000 pa + London Weighting/Travel Allowance + good range of benefits

Location: Milton Keynes or London

Our respected client is an organisation who are famous for their charitable work and relief they offer whilst sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This large international children's charity is now offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Policy & Programmes Team of a UK Christian Charity, a place where you will have the chance to lead effective end-to-end grant risk management and compliance of the grant portfolio by strengthening the capacity of grant stakeholders. You will be instrumental in contributing to the charity's 5-year strategic goal - engaging with over half a million supporters transforming million lives.

Primary responsibilities and skills required

* Team Management : lead, manage and develop a team of Grant Compliance Officers guiding in best practice and grant compliance
* Partner Relations : ensuring effective relations are maintained as well as offering support to grants and finance colleagues in National and Regional Offices around the world
* Donor Requirements : monitoring changes to donor grant requirements, procedures and regulations
* Financial, Risk Management and Audits : ensuring donor finance reporting, minimising risk by safeguarding exposure and managing donor audit processes (e.g. ECHO)

* Managing grant income budgets and provide support grant acquisitions

* Co-financing, match funding and cost recovery

* Managing and maintaining systems

* Promoting cross-organisation coordination and compliance throughout the grants

* Graduate (in Finance, Accounting, Audit or related field)

* Experience of grant financial management

* Experience in government and multilateral donors (e.g. EU, ECHO, DfID, USAID, UN) in a NGO, public or private context preferably

* Ability to communicate donor regulatory complex material concisely to stakeholders

* A strong relationship builder

* A good understanding of the humanitarian sector

* Able to travel up to 25% of the year to regions which are served by the organisation
